Our Policies

Check-in time is 4:00 pm or after. If your guestroom is ready before 4:00 pm, we will do our best to check you in early, but we cannot guarantee it.

Checkout is 11:00 am. Late checkout until 1:00 pm is offered for an additional $50.

We require a deposit when booking, equal to 50% of a single or multi-night stay. We accept Mastercard, VISA, and Discover. Any balance due, incidentals, or room service charged to the room will be charged on the credit card on file after 1:00 pm on the day of check-out.

Gift certificates for guest stays at the Nutt House Hotel may be purchased online and redeemed from hotel’s web site.  Gift certificates that are purchased, printed in hardcopy and mailed by US Mail have a 1 year expiration date.  Gift certificates purchased online and emailed have a 5 year expiration date.   The purchaser will be notified of the expiration date at the time of purchase and on the actual gift certificate.  Gift certificates may not be redeemed for cash.  Some restrictions may apply. 

All guestrooms are single or double occupancy with the exception of two guestrooms which have a trundle bed. In the guestrooms with trundle beds, there is an additional $50 charge per night for each additional guest over 2 guests with a maximum of 3 guests. Children under the age of two will not count as an additional guests in the guestrooms with trundle beds. Children over the age of two will be counted as an additional guest and a $50 per night charge will apply.

Rates may vary on weekdays or on weekends. Minimum night stays may be required during times of the year, holidays, and festival weekends.

We do not allow pets. Service animals are accommodated per ADA laws.

The hotel is a non-smoking/vaping property. We do not allow open flames, ie, candles or incense, in the guestrooms or anywhere in the hotel.

You may be held responsible for any missing or damaged items and be required to pay for their repairs or replacement. Additionally, any areas requiring extra cleaning due to odors or stains may require an additional cleaning fee. This is at the discretion of management and will be charged to your credit card with advance notice. Spirits, beer, and wine may be purchased from Christina’s Restaurant at the Nutt House Hotel.

Wine, beer, or spirits purchases by lodging guests from retailers or wine shops are permitted for consumption in the guestrooms and upstairs common area but not in the restaurant or anywhere on the first floor of the Nutt House Hotel. If a lodging guest violates this policy, they will be asked to either take their beverages up to their room or upstairs common area or leave the hotel to consume them.

Guests may use the coffee maker, refrigerator, ice maker and sink in the coffee bar which is available on the same floor as the guestrooms. Robes, coffee mugs, and glassware, among other items, are available for purchase.

Entry to the hotel, guestrooms, and the elevator are by using a code provided to each lodging guest. The guest will have only one code that will work for all three doors. Each lodging guest will use the same code throughout their stay. Codes will be deleted upon checkout.

The Nutt House Hotel does not allow gatherings in lodging guestrooms or upstairs that include guests not staying at the hotel unless approved in advance by Nutt House Hotel management.

Cancellation Policy:

The Nutt House Hotel is a small boutique hotel. Therefore, we are affected by cancellations. For cancellations made more than 10 days before your scheduled arrival date your deposit will be refunded, less a $30 processing fee. For cancellations made 10 days or less prior to your arrival date you will be charged for the full reservation unless we are able to re-book the room, in which case, only the $30 processing fee will be charged. We suggest you purchase trip insurance as cancellations may be unavoidable.

ADA Accessibility:

The Nutt House Hotel and Christina’s Restaurant at the Nutt House Hotel are committed to facilitating the accessibility and usability of this website for all people with disabilities. We will continue to implement the relevant portions of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA) or such other standards as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). On a periodic basis, our website will be tested with assistive technology.

In addition, we work to ensure every guest who wishes to stay and enjoy the restaurant can do so regardless of their physical abilities. When the Nutt House Hotel was recently renovated, ADA regulations were a prime focus for our guests with disabilities.  Among other ways we comply with ADA:

  • We ensure that individuals with disabilities can make reservations during the same hours and in the same manner as individuals without disabilities.

  • We have identified and described accessible features in our hotel, guest rooms and common area bathrooms in detail to allow individuals with disabilities to determine whether our hotel meets their needs.

  • We ensure that accessible guest rooms are held for use by individuals with disabilities until all other guest rooms of that type have been rented.

  • We guarantee that the specific accessible guest rooms and restaurant tables, once reserved, are held for the reserving customer. We make reasonable efforts with third-party reservation systems to make accessible rooms available through at least some of these services and we provide these third-party services with information concerning the features of the accessible rooms.

  • Guests with legitimate service animals as defined in the ADA will be provided access to all areas of the inn afforded to those without service animals.

Common Area Space with Handicap Accessibility:
  • The common areas of the Nutt House Hotel can be accessed by wheelchair; including the restaurant which offers a clear wide entrance area and individual tables.
